Breaking the seal

Hmm so I guess here is where I’ll write the mission statement for this blog. Seems like here is a better place than the “About” page so I can willy-nilly change my mind - or let the blog organically evolve without being beholden to whatever I think I might accomplish here (nothing productive). So…

Mission Statement: I will write my improv flights of fancy and draw correlations between non-improv things and improv things. I hope that whenever I look back on the posts I make here, I have the feeling I get when I read my high school English papers my mom saved. I also want to post about things that inspire me to do more improv, so that they might inspire you, dear reader!

I don’t know if that’s really a mission statement.

The realest thing is that I will post at least every Saturday. (He said on a Friday, realizing that he needs to have something substantial to post for tomorrow.)

This is definitely inspired by this very cool neon green and black checkered studded belt I had in 2007.

This is definitely inspired by Will Hines’s improv blog, Improv Nonsense. Basically, I’m bummed that there are no more new posts! This is more of a “be the change you want to see in the world” effort than an act of hubris. My thoughts aren’t so great, but hey at least I’m having them! I am a millennial. My fantasy is that people will comment on these posts and we can have a dialogue, so please comment!
